Decadent Alpen Muesli Cake

It's been a long year and it has been decided that we all deserve a little treat for all the effort we have put in - We present to you our Decadent Alpen Muesli Cake!

Ingredients:

1 Cup of Alpen Dark Choc Muesli
300g of Full Cream Milk
90g of Canola Oil
2 Tablespoons of Vanilla Essence
3 Large Eggs
350g Cake Flour
300g of Sugar
20g of Baking Powder
1/2 a Teaspoon of Baking Soda
1/2 a Teaspoon of Salt
250g of Unsalted Butter
500g of Jam of your choice

Method

  1. Heat your oven to 180º C
  2. Beat together your eggs, butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.
  3. Add your oill and vanilla essence a beat until combined
  4. Sift the dry ingredients into the mixture and fold together.
  5. Add your Alpen Muesli to the mixture and careful fold until combined
  6. Divide the batter into two round greased pans and bake for 30 minutes
  7. Once cooked remove from the oven and let the cakes cool for 10-20 minutes before removing from the pans.
  8. Let the cakes cool on a baking rack.
  9. Slice each cake in two and liberally apply a layer of jam to the top of each slice.
  10. Stack the slices and enjoy!
