Alpen Muesli Pear & Apple Crumble

  • 3 peeled and cored pears
  • 3 peeled and cored apples
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 110g of brown sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons of lemon juice (45ml)
  • 90g of flour
  • 1 Cup of Original Alpen Muesli
  • 70g of Sugar
  • 75g of Butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt


  1. Heat your oven to 180C°
  2. Slice the pears and apples into thin segments
  3. Add the pears and apples to a pan along with the brown sugar, lemon juice and vanilla essence and cook on medium heat until the sugar has melted and the fruit is starting to soften.
  4. In a food processor add the flour, Alpen Muesli, Sugar, Butter, Cinnamon and Salt and blitz until the rough crumble starts to form.
  5. Place the apple and pear mixture at the bottom of a greased oven proof dish and spoon over the crumble mixture on top.
  6. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until the crumble is golden brown and crisp.
  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving with either cream or custard.
